Martin’s Point US Family Health Plan is Among the Highest-Ranked Health Insurance Plans in the Nation

The National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) has awarded the Martin’s Point US Family Health Plan in Maine a 4.5-Star rating. The plan has been awarded a 4-Star rating for New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

NCQA is a national agency that accredits health plans. In an effort to make sure we continually bring our members the highest quality in health care, we voluntarily submit our US Family Health Plan for a rigorous annual review by the agency.

NCQA uses measures of clinical quality (HEDIS®) and patient experience (CAHPS®) and Standards from the NCQA Accreditation process to rate health plans. The better a health plan performs on HEDIS® and CAHPS®, along with its NCQA Standards scores, the higher it is rated.

NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations. It also recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance. NCQA’s Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) is the most widely used performance measurement tool in health care.
